About the Role:

Paragon Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join a SEN school in Worcester. This rewarding position is due to start in September 2024 and offers the opportunity to work with students with special educational needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs (SEN).
• Create a positive and nurturing learning environment where all students feel valued, supported, and motivated to learn.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to the individual learning styles and abilities of students with SEN.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents/carers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching students with special educational needs (SEN) preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of SEN teaching strategies, interventions, and best practices, with a commitment to inclusive education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively plan and deliver lessons and manage the needs of students with diverse abilities and learning styles.
• A proactive and flexible approach to teaching, with a willingness to adapt and respond to the individual needs and interests of students.
