SEN Teacher – Birmingham (Full-Time, Permanent)
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the School:
A specialist provision within a mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking an SEN Teacher to work with children who have additional learning needs. The school has a dedicated SEND team and provides excellent resources to support inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Work closely with the SENCO and support staff to develop individual learning plans (IEPs).
- Implement a range of teaching strategies to engage and motivate learners.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with parents and external agencies to ensure pupil success.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or additional training in SEND.
- Strong understanding of various learning difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, and Speech & Language needs.
- Excellent differentiation and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching approach.
