Salary: MPS (Open to ECTs and experienced teachers)

Overview:
We are recruiting a nurturing and proactive Year 1 Teacher for a long-term maternity cover at a welcoming school in Saltley. The role is available from September 2025 and runs until the end of the academic year in July 2026.

The Role:
This Key Stage 1 role involves teaching a class of engaged learners, providing structured yet creative learning opportunities, and tracking pupil progress effectively. There is a strong support network in place, including experienced phase leaders and teaching assistants.

Requirements:

• QTS (applications from ECTs and experienced teachers welcomed)
• An understanding of phonics and early reading strategies
• A caring and reflective approach to teaching
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to wider school life
